Media et telecoms

The Group is now present in free press, digital media, market research and cinema and television logistics, and in the telecoms sector with 4G licenses covering the whole of France and with the Internet access provider, Wifirst.

CNews Matin (ex-Direct Matin)

Direct Matin, free daily of information, frees the main part of the current events. Distributed to approximately 908 000 copies (OJD print December 2016) in the main French cities, it collects every day about 2.4 million readers (ACPM One 2015-2016 LNM). With its digital offer, Cnews Matin is accessible all day long.
For some more of closeness, it also commes in regional publishing thanks to an exclusive alliance with the groups of the Regional daily press.

Télécoms

Bolloré Télécoms is an operator holding 3.5 GHz licenses throughout France, and is closely involved with the work of the international harmonization and standardization bodies and, in respect, is working on the development of 4G technologies in that frequency band.

Subsidiary of Bolloré Group, Wifirst is an international internet operator. Wifirst develops the first platform of very high speed WiFi network, via optical fiber or ADSL, in collective places: student residences, hotels, holiday residences, companies, defense bases. Wifirst equips 500,000 rooms broadband internet access and has more than a million users of its network per month. Wifirst also equips 1,900 post offices and will equip more than 3,000 in the coming years.

Major players, as Accor group, Réside Etudes group, Pierre et Vacances – Maeva, Nexity Studéa trust Wifirst to meet their connectivity needs.

Other activities

The Group is also present in the movie industry with a 10% interest in Gaumont, one of the leading European players in the sector, which owns one-third of the national network of EuroPalaces cinemas and operates a sizable catalog of feature-length films. Moreover, the Bolloré Group also runs the Mac-Mahon cinema, one of the premier venues for movie enthusiasts in France.
In the video games segment, the Bolloré Group has a shareholding of around 21% in Bigben Interactive, the leading European distributor of games and gaming accessories.
